Policies may be effected on any of three bases:-

• Name Person(s)
• Stated Positions or Blanket

The main distinction is that for (a) and (b), specific amounts are shown against each person or position whereas a blanket insurance applies to all employees irrespective of duties performed and provides a cover up to a stated amount for the act of one or more of the employees. Policies written on blanket basis are in increasing demand, particularly from brokers, and hence discretion is heir acceptance. We decline to issue them for the smaller risks or where the amount to be guarantee is lower than k500, our preference in such instance regarded as essential before a quotation can be given.
